The Agreed Statements between the Orthodox Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches

This recording of the talk of Christine Chaillot, together with the questions and discussion which followed, was made in a class of the course taught by the Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College's Dr Paul Ladouceur on "Ecclesiology, Ecumenism and Religious Pluralism" on 23 March 2017. The class dealt with bilateral ecumenical agreements involving the Orthodox Church and other Christian Churches, with a focus on the Agreed Statements between the Orthodox Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches signed in 1989 and 1990.

As an introduction, Dr Ladouceur presented an overview of the major bilateral ecumenical agreements involving the Orthodox Church. The first recording begins with Christine Chaillot’s talk, and the questions and discussion are in a separate recording. To assist in following the discussion, you may wish to view the Agreed Statements.

Earlier that same day, Christine Chaillot also spoke about the "The Past, Present and Future of Oriental Christians and their Churches."
