Community and Spiritual Life

There are many Orthodox churches in Toronto and all students at the Orthodox School of Theology are encouraged to actively participate in parish life, including regular worship and charitable works.

Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Mission

Sunday services (Mattins followed by Divine Liturgy) are served in English in the chapel of Trinity College every Sunday beginning at 9am.

The rector of Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Mission is the Very Rev Fr Geoffrey Ready, who is also Co-Director of the Orthodox School of Theology and Director of the Master of Divinity programme.

During term time, there are also daily Orthodox Vespers services at St Sophia chapel (St Michael's College).

U of T Orthodox Campus FellowshipOrthodox Christian Fellowship

Under the patronage of St George the Great Martyr, students of the University of Toronto's St George Campus have established a chapter of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF). The fellowship strives to provide students with an active community of fellow Orthodox Christians, offering the chance to explore, express their faith, as well as inquire. Students of the Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College are invited to join and support this group.

Weekly fellowship meetings are held every Tuesday at 5pm, offering food, lively discussion, prayer, and a variety of other activities, as well as many other events throughout the year.
