Trinity College

Inaugural Graduate Teaching Fellowship Awarded

We are pleased to announce that Kate McCray, PhD student in theological studies and Christian ethics at St Michael's College, was awarded an inaugural Orthodox Graduate Teaching Fellowship in May, an appointment which enabled her to teach and supervise a major component of our summer course The Human Person in Orthodox Tradition (TRP2172). Students really appreciated and benefited from her wisdom and experience especially in bringing an Orthodox theological perspective to crucial areas like disability studies and trauma theory.

The Orthodox Graduate Teaching Fellowship was recently established with funding from Trinity Orthodox Theological Foundation as a means of supporting advanced degree students at the University of Toronto whose research and teaching in Orthodox theology shows considerable promise. The fellowship expresses our encouragement for that scholarship and comes with the invitation to begin teaching with the Orthodox School of Theology with a view to establishing a collaborative relationship that may be furthered in the years to come.
