Orthodox Christian Fellowship - Spring General Meeting

Join the Orthodox Christian Fellowship for a final end of year meeting! We will be having prayer, end of year reports, discussion on how the year went, and plans for the next year.

Don't forget, we also have our executive elections. If you wish to run for a position, contact us at no less than 7 days prior to the event.

Lecture: Street Power in Byzantium: Why Were the Emperors so Scared?

Professor Anthony Kaldellis, from the Department of Classics, Ohio State University, will be presenting a special lecture entitled "Street Power in Byzantium: Why Were the Emperors so Scared?" on Friday 8 April at 7pm in the Campbell Conference Room, Munk School of Global Affairs (1 Devonshire Place).

Divinity Students Retreat: Lent, Easter, Pentecost: Our common life in Christ

Registration for the "Lent, Easter, Pentecost: Our common life in Christ" retreat for students of divinity at Trinity College is now open.

The retreat will be held from Thursday 10 March to Saturday 12 March at Crieff Hills Community in Puslinch, ON (just outside Cambridge). Most of the body of the retreat will occur on Friday 11 March enabling  people to attend either overnight or as day participants.

Eastern Christian Service of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College will be hosting an Eastern Christian Service of Prayer for the Week of Christian Unity.

The service, which will incorporate the themes and materials from the Canadian Council of Churches' service, will be familiar to Christians from Eastern Orthodox, Byzantine Catholic and Oriental Orthodox backgrounds.

All are welcome to attend the service to be held in the chapel at Trinity College.

Orthodox Political Theology for the 21st Century

The Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College is hosting a seminar in January with Artistotle Papanikolaou, Pantelis Kalaitzidis and Perry Hamalis, three leading contemporary Orthodox theologians, on the topic of 'Orthodox Political Theology for the 21st Century'.

The seminar will be held in the Rigby Room of St Hilda's College, on Saturday 9 January 2016, from 11am to 1pm.

Inside the Icon: Exploring the World of the Icon

Come along to Larkin 341 at Trinity College this Saturday 3 October for a workshop exploring iconography from a spiritual and artistic perspective. Instructor and iconographer Nicolae Gavriliu will do a 2-hour presentation in the morning followed by a 2-hour iconography demonstration after lunch.

No experience in arts of theology required; this workshop open to everybody.
